MaxMind GeoIP Help

Waldo uses MaxMind's GeoIP databases to provide geolocation information for IP addresses.

To use this service, you need a MaxMind license key. You can sign up for a free account and get a license key at:

https://www.maxmind.com/en/accounts/1183315/license-key

After obtaining your license key, you can set it as an environment variable:

MAXMIND_LICENCE_KEY=your_license_key_here

MCP Server Information

Waldo provides a Machine Communication Protocol (MCP) server for programmatic access to GeoIP lookup services.

Available Tools

• lookup_ip - Look up information about a single IP address
• batch_lookup - Look up information about multiple IP addresses

Available Resources

• lookup-types:// - Get available lookup types and their descriptions
• tools:// - Get available tools

Available Prompts

• format_ip_lookup_request - Format a request for IP lookup with proper syntax
• explain_geoip_results - Explain GeoIP lookup results in a conversational format
• troubleshoot_lookup_errors - Help troubleshoot common errors in GeoIP lookups

To use the MCP server, set the MODE environment variable to "mcp" when starting the application.
